Brant OPPOPP investigate after shots fired at St. George residence

Brant County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a shooting that occurred in St. George.

Members of the Brant County OPP received a report of a weapons complaint in the town of St. George at approximately 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.

Officers attended the residence on German School Road and were told by the homeowner that at 3:10 a.m. his home had been subjected to gun fire. Police determined that nobody in the home was injured. The homeowner further told police that the individuals were unknown to him.

Home surveillance video shows a dark coloured vehicle drive into the driveway with two suspects firing several rounds from firearms striking the residence and garage area causing damage. This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public.

The Brant County Crime Unit is continuing to investigate and is asking residents that live on German School Road with video surveillance systems to check their footage to see if they captured the vehicles or suspects involved.
