Cambridge resident facing charges after collision

Brant OPPCambridge resident facing charges after collision

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single-motor vehicle collision on Mechanic Street in Paris, Ontario at approximately 11:33 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2025.

Upon arrival on scene police located a parked blue sedan with a lone male occupant seated in the driver’s seat. The vehicle had extensive front-end damage and appeared to have recently been involved in a collision. The vehicle licence plate also matched the licence plate of a vehicle that fled from police earlier.

Police spoke to the male who was sitting in the driver’s seat and following a police investigation Zachary COUSINS, a 27-year-old of Cambridge, was taken into custody and charged with the following offences:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80
  • Mischief Destroys or Damages Property
  • Flight from Police

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on October 30, 2025.
