Brant Community Healthcare SystemBrant Community Healthcare System hosts Ignite Gala

Community members, business leaders, and generous sponsors came together for  an unforgettable evening inspired by the vibrant spirit of Havana Nights at the Brant Community Healthcare  System (BCHS) Foundation’s Annual Ignite Gala on Friday, September 19, 2025.

This year’s lively theme of Havana Nights, brought warmth, colour, and rhythm to the event as attendees celebrated a shared commitment to advancing healthcare in Brantford. Over the past two years, the BCHS Foundation has concentrated its fundraising efforts on the Diagnostic Imaging Department, an essential part of  delivering accurate and timely patient care.

Fundraising is underway to support a new and improved Breast Health Suite featuring upgraded Digital Mammography machines and dedicated Ultrasound unit. Additionally, funds will help purchase an Ultrasound for the Willett, a new Gamma camera for the Nuclear Medicine and replace the aging MRI machine, which has  been in service since 2007.  These critical investments in Diagnostic Imaging total over $6 million.

Thanks to the generosity of Gala  attendees, the community, and sponsoring businesses, the organization successfully raised over $480,000, bringing BCHS one step closer to obtaining life saving equipment for Diagnostic Imaging. The evening was energized by the charismatic Layne the Auctionista, who served as the Master of Ceremonies and kept the crowd engaged and inspired throughout the night.
