With the new school year beginning, the Six Nations Police would like to remind motorists, parents and students to prioritize safety on our roads and in our school zones.
During the month of August 2025, Six Nations Police have charged ten individuals with multiple provincial offences under the Highway Traffic Act (HTA), Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act (CAIA) and the Liquor Licence Act (LLA).
These offences include:
– Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop
– Disobey Stop Sign – Stop Wrong Place
– Drive while under Suspension
– Failure to Have Insurance Card
– Turn – Not in Safety
– Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence
– Intoxicated in a Public Place x 4
– Careless Driving
– Careless Driving Causing Bodily Harm
– Follow Too Closely
ix Nations Police would like to remind drivers to always practice proper road safety. Traffic infractions are one of the leading causes of motor vehicle collisions and are often preventable. It is important to be extra cautious for little ones in school zones and anywhere else school buses are stopping to load and unload children. The Six Nations Police will continue to monitor and enforce traffic safety within the community.
