Man facing multiple charges after motor vehicle collision

Brant OPPMan facing multiple charges after motor vehicle collision

Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) laid multiple charges following an investigation into a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 403 East at the Paris Road off-ramp.

Officers responded to a report of a fail-to-remain collision at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025. Upon arrival, the complainant advised police that a white Honda Civic had struck his vehicle and fled the scene.

During the interaction, officers observed signs of impairment in the complainant. A roadside breath test was administered using an Alcohol Screening Device, resulting in a “fail” reading.

As a result of the investigation, Christopher Coles, 41, of Grand Bend, has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code.

  • Impaired Operation – 80+
  • Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand

The accused received a 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS), and the involved vehicle was impounded.
