Brant OPPOPP investigating arson of County of Brant business

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating an arson that occurred during the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

At approximately 2:05 a.m., police responded to a report of a fire at a commercial business on Black Walnut Road, in the County of Brant. The affected business sustained visible burn and scorch damage to the exterior of the building.

Video surveillance captured four individuals arriving on foot carrying jerry cans and glass bottles. Investigators believe these items were used to intentionally set the fire.

Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time, or who may have home security, dashcam, or surveillance footage from the vicinity of Black Walnut Road between 1:30 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on August 5, to contact investigators.
