County of Brant announced it has exceeded its fundraising goal for the new Wilkin Family Community Centre on Monday, June 16, 2025.
This achievement comes following the news that the County has received a grant to support the project.
“There are so many people in the community that we would like to thank for helping with this project,” said David Bailey, Mayor for the County of Brant. “Thank you to all the donors for their incredible generosity. The support you have shown demonstrates why the County of Brant is such a wonderful place to call home.”

The Wilkin Family Community Centre has a construction cost of $1.6 million, with a fundraising goal of $400,000 to help reduce the financial impact on the municipality. Fundraising began in the spring of 2024, with the campaign working group actively securing 97% of the donations. Construction on the facility is expected to be completed in 2025.
“We are incredibly excited for the Wilkin Family Community Centre to be completed.” said Mayor Bailey. “We look forward to welcoming the community to this space, which will be a hub for community and family gatherings, recreation opportunities, and celebrations for many generations to come.”
