A 52-year-old from the County of Brant has been arrested after Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Brant County Detachment members responded to a traffic complaint early Saturday morning in the County of Brant.

Brant County OPP responded to a traffic complaint in Paris at approximately 12:16 a.m. in Saturday December 21, 2024.

The caller observed driving behaviour that caused them to be concerned and contacted police. Police located the vehicle at a residence on Catherine Street where one person was arrested and transported to Brant County detachment for testing.

Police have charged 52-year-old Darrick DEBOER from the County of Brant with the following offences:

·      Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs

·      Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario on January 6, 2025.
