CrimeOhsweken resident facing multiple charges after complaint

An Ohsweken resident has been charged with multiple criminal offences following a complaint about a suspicious vehicle at a local business.  

Six Nations  Police were advised of a suspicious vehicle at a local business on Highway 54 at approximately 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, 2024.

A witness at the scene advised that the vehicle was parked at the location for an extended period and the occupant was observed to be asleep inside the vehicle. Police arrived on scene and were eventually able to wake the single male occupant. Signs of impairment were observed on the male. Throughout the investigation, it was determined that the vehicle was reported stolen to another police service.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Samuel MILLER (51-years-old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following criminal offences: 

– Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus” 

– Possession under $5,000  

– Driving while Suspended x 2  

– Operation while Prohibited 

– Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence  

– Use Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle  

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on November 22, 2024.
