Brant OPP20-year-old killed in single vehicle collision on Hwy. 403

A single motor vehicle collision has claimed the life of one individual.

Members from the Brant detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with assistance from Brant County Fire Services, as well as Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services, responded to a collision involving a single vehicle on Highway 403 eastbound near mile marker 22, in the County of Brant at 2:36 a.m. on Sunday, October 20, 2024.

The investigation determined that the motor vehicle was travelling eastbound on Highway 403, when it left the roadway, descending into a wooded area. The driver, a 20-year-old from Brantford, was transported to an area hospital where they were later pronounced deceased.

The West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team is assisting with the investigation.
