The incident occurred on the property of Aspire Bakeries, in a unit containing the batteries and operated by Aypa Power, who “develop, build, and operate utility-scale energy storage and hybrid renewable energy projects, utilizing commercially viable technologies, to create a more sustainable and reliable grid.”

The blaze was contained to one unit and no injuries were reported. Firefighters remained on scene over the weekend to monitor the situation.
