Brant OPPDiver facing Impaired charges after motor vehicle collision

A Brantford resident is facing charges following a single motor vehicle collision in Brant County.

A member of the Brant Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 54 in Brant County at approximately 7:14 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

Upon speaking to the driver of the vehicle, the officer administered a roadside Approved Screening Device (ASD) test. The driver was transported to detachment for further testing.

Stephen HINDS, 58-years-old of Brantford, has been charged with the following:

  • Operation While Impaired and,
  • Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Careless Driving

The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on February 15th, 2024.
