Members from Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), County of Brant Fire Department and Brant-Brantford Paramedic Services responded to a collision on Paris Road in the County of Brant at approximately 1:53 a.m. on Sunday December 24, 2023.
One person has been pronounced deceased after a motor vehicle left the roadway and struck a hydro pole on Paris Road in the County of Brant.
It was determined that a passenger vehicle left the roadway, struck a hydro pole, and rolled over. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three additional vehicle occupants were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification to next of kin.
Paris Road was closed for approximately eleven hours while emergency crews and investigators were on scene.
OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management Enforcement (TIME) team members continue to investigate the collision. Police are asking anyone who lives on Paris Road between Dundas Street and Oak Park Road and has home surveillance or owns a dash camera and may have been in the area between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. to review their video footage and contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 with any information.
