A small Cessna 152 airplane made an emergency landing on Governors Road in Brantford on Friday, December 22, 2023.
The aircraft had to make the emergency landing, on Governors Road, west of King George Road, after unspecified mechanical issues, clipping a hydro line as it made its descent.
The pilot, with some assistance from emergency services personnel, was able to move the plane off the roadway and into the parking lot of a local business.
According to sources, two people were on board the aircraft, including the pilot and instructor, and they were heading back to Burlington Airpark at the time of the incident.
Brantford Police, Brantford Fire Department, County of Brant Fire Department and paramedics were all on scene but no injuries were reported.
