Brant OPPSerious collision investigation leads to Impaired charges

One person is facing impaired driving charges after Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) members investigated a two-vehicle collision last month in the County of Brant.

County of Brant Fire Department, Brant-Brantford Paramedics and officers with the Brant County OPP responded to a reported collision on Brant Road near Glen Morris Road West in the County of Brant at approximately 5:12 p.m. on November 7, 2023.

Two vehicle occupants were transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police have charged 37-year-old Ashley BAXTER, from Niagara Falls with the following offences:

  • Operation causing bodily harm,
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and
  • Dangerous Operation causing bodily harm.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
