Serious injuries have been reported following several multi-vehicle crashes on Highway 403 in Brantford due to blowing snow on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a seven-vehicle crash, a three-vehicle collision and four other jackknifed transport trucks.

OPP say a 36-year-old from Brantford involved in the three-vehicle crash was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The eastbound lanes of Highway 403 are closed between Garden Avenue and Highway 52.

Officers say the westbound lanes of the highway will be closed periodically to remove vehicles involved in the collisions.
