Brantford man facing Operation while Impaired charges

Brant OPPBrantford man facing Operation while Impaired charges

A 65-year-old from the City of Brantford is facing charges after Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint in the County of Brant Tuesday morning.

An officer with the Brant County OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Bethel Road in the County of Brant at approximately 11:40 a.m. on Tuesday October 31, 2023,

A motorist observed driving behaviour that caused them concern and contacted police. Police located the vehicle where one person was arrested and transported to Brant County detachment for testing.

Police have charged 65-year-old Terry MONKMAN, from Brantford with the following offences:

·        Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs,

·        Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and

·        Dangerous Operation.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
