Paris resident facing three counts of Spousal Assault

Brant OPPParis resident facing three counts of Spousal Assault

One person is facing charges after police investigated a reported assault in the County of Brant on Tuesday evening.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County Detachment members responded to a report of an assault after-the-fact in Paris at approximately 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday June 20, 2023.

As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old from Paris has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·        Assault – Spousal (three counts).

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
