78-year-old Simcoe resident charged with Stunt Driving

Brant OPP78-year-old Simcoe resident charged with Stunt Driving

A member of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Pleasant Ridge Road near Colborne Street West after observing a vehicle travelling at an excessive rate of speed at approximately 4:54 p.m. no Monday, July 7, 2025.

The officer was conducting speed enforcement in the area when a vehicle was observed travelling 125 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

As a result of the investigation, a 78-year-old driver from Simcoe has been charged with:

  • Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform Stunt – Excessive Speed
  • Speeding – 125 km/h in a 60 km/h Zone

The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days as per legislation.
