Brant OPP27-year-old facing Operation while Impaired charge

One individual has been charged with impaired driving following a motor vehicle collision in Burford, Ontario.

Members of Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a motor vehicle collision on Rutherford Street in the village of Burford in the County of Brant at 12:07 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025.

As a result of the investigation, Colin AMY, 27-years-old of Brant County, was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act with the following offences:

  • Operation while Impaired – alcohol and drugs
  • Operate motor vehicle without insurance

A 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
