21-year-old Brant County resident charged with Assault

Brant OPP21-year-old Brant County resident charged with Assault

Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to a report of an alleged assault at a business on Rest Acres Road in Paris at approximately 10:50 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2025.

Upon arrival, officers conducted an investigation and determined that a male patron had been assaulted. A suspect matching the description provided by the victim was located nearby and taken into custody.

As a result of the investigation, Matthew FLEWELLING, 21-years-old, from Brant County, has been charged with:

  • Assault

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on August 21, 2025, to answer to the charge.
