Brant OPP19-year-old facing impaired driving charges

A 19-year-old from Brant County was arrested after citizens concerned with their driving, contacted Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Brant County Detachment.

On Sunday, July 10, 2022, Brant County OPP responded to a traffic complaint on Beverly Street East in St. George, County of Brant. Citizens were stopped with a vehicle after observing driving that caused them serious concern. One person was arrested and transported to Brant County detachment for testing.

Police have charged 19-year-old Bailey Willow JELLIS, from Brant County with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus),
  • Operation while impaired – alcohol,
  • Drive Motor Vehicle with Liquor Readily available and
  • Novice Driver – B.A.C. above zero.

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
