Recognized by Expedia.ca, as the 6th best festival in Canada to visit, Wienerfest is now a two-day event at our NEW LOCATION—the Burford Fairgrounds! We are beyond grateful to our wonderful hosts, the Burford Agricultural Society and the County of Brant, located just 11 minutes from Oxford County and our wonderful previous hosts.
Joining us will be none other than our celebrity dachshund and beloved Ambassador, Here comes Meatball
Saturday kicks off with a large outdoor and indoor shopping market, alongside five other exciting events happening at the fairgrounds. In between browsing, visit the Woof Pet Wellness Center and chat with health professionals about your dog’s care—whether it’s nail trimming, training, nutrition, or IVDD alternatives. Renowned Dr. Karen Becker will also be on-site to share insights on chiropractic care and massage therapy for your pup—because dogs deserve wellness, too!
Explore health supplements for your furry friend, try out a lure course and agility course, or cool off inside the main building if the weather gets too warm. Once refreshed, grab a bite at our amazing food court before letting your pups splash in the dog pools or meet behavior specialists to address any concerns.
And, of course, don’t miss the fun games and contests! From the costume contest to the ice cream licking competition (sponsored by Suppa Swirls and Flea Circus), to the ever-popular bobbing for wieners—and the highlight of the festival, the WIENER RACES!
At 4:00 PM, we will hold a heartfelt remembrance service for all the cherished dogs who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, honoring the memory of our Ambassador, Blue, whose impact on responsible dog ownership will never be forgotten.
Sunday continues the excitement with more fun games, plus an antique show and a crafter’s market in the Agriculture Auditorium. Over 100 vendors will be available for shopping, ensuring plenty of unique finds. And, if all goes as planned, we will celebrate a WIENER WEDDING! Join us at 2:00 PM in the Agricultural Auditorium as two adored dachshunds say, “I Do Bark.”
Be sure to arrive early—the fun starts at 9:30 AM to 4:30 pm on Saturday and concludes at 3:00 PM on Sunday.
Oh and we have a tattoo artist on site, that will be doing real tattoos. Spaces filling up fast. Board of Health approved.
