It is said that Captain Joseph Brant set aside a plot of land as a public burying ground on the occasion of the death of 80 year old Thomas Sturgis, in 1802. He was a member of one of the original pioneer families of Mt. Pleasant. This guided tour while point out some of the early residents of the village and their significant achievement’s.
There will be a limited number of participants on each tour in order to be respectful. One group at 2pm and another at 4pm on September 29th and October 6th. Please register ahead to participate.
